Hot Chocolate Mix: Our distinct version of Hot Chocolate is made from our own blend of crushed cocoa bean-to-bar chocolate of different origins. It contains only pure dark 70% chocolate that is ground into small granules for quick and easy emulsion and is perfect for rich, thick, pudding-like French or Spanish-style Hot Chocolate. For that type of texture, use a ratio of 50g of chocolate mix with 250 ml of hot (80°C) but not boiling water to retain as much of the volatile aroma.  For a lighter and more fluid drink, you can use whole milk or fruit purees or for the most 'pure' chocolate experience, we suggest using water as the liquid in the ratio of 25g of chocolate mix with 250 ml of hot (80°C) and again not boiling water to retain as much of the volatile aroma. For any of the versions suggested, we recommend using an immersion blender or a 'Bullet' type mixer to get the best emulsion possible.

Cocoa Bean Tea:Our unique all natural 'Chocolate Tea' is made entirely from pure in-house roasted cocoa beans / husks only - no sugar and/or any other ingredients except for a touch of vanilla bean powder. We suggest brewing the tea in a cup or tea pot with a lid. Heat water to about 80°C as boiling water would release too much of the chocolate volatile aroma, pour over tea bag and let infuse, covered, for 4-5 minutes. For an additional aromatic touch, we suggest adding fresh elements such as orange zest (or other citrus fruits), lemongrass, spices (I.e. cinnamon) and/or other aromatic to your liking. Please keep in mind that the stronger the aromatic addition is, the less the cocoa aroma will come through!

This unique sugar-free infusion is a healthy beverage alternative to coffee as cocoa beans are rich in powerful antioxidants such as polyphenols and naturally contain very low levels of caffeine (less than 10-times that of coffee per serving).

  • Hot Chocolate: 150g / 5.3oz- Yield: 16 Demitasse servings (55ml / 2oz size) based on the thick pudding-like recipe or 4 Cups servings (225ml / 8oz size).

  • Cocoa Bean Tea: 8 tea bags Yield: 24 x 250 ml cups based on 2 tea bags per 1.5 L of water.

Serving/Storage: Hot Chocolate mix / Cocoa Bean Tea should be stored at 16°C/60°F or less, away from heat and/or sunlight inside the sealed foil . Best consumed within 6-months from date of purchase / receiving shipment.
